Disruptions in this reflex may lead to difficulties in swallowing, potentially contributing to the regurgitation of milk or formula. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It can affect the regular rhythmic contractions of the digestive tract, known as peristalsis.
